The Springs at Pacific Regent

The Springs at Pacific RegentThe Springs at Pacific Regent has served the Bellevue area since 1986. The Springs is a 54 bed skilled nursing facility operated by The Fountains, one of the nation’s leading providers of housing, hospitality and health care for mature adults. The facility is part of Pacific Regent, a retirement community managed by a homeowners association.

The community was developed in 1986 by Pennyfarthing, a developer from British Columbia. Pacific Regent is an 18-story condominium with 114 retirement suites and 54 skilled nursing beds located in the heart of Bellevue. Fountains Retirement Communities purchased Pennyfarthings interest in the community in 1995. Over the years The Fountains has continued to manage The Springs and increased their interest in Pacific Regent Condominiums. Although still managed by Pacific Regent Homeowners Association Board, The Fountains currently owns 85 of the 114 suites.

All of the nineteen Fountains communities, located throughout the United States, share a common culture. The Fountains mission statement, “Providing extraordinary communities were people chose to be,” expresses their commitment to a culture of independence, fun and friendship. Residents live in a community with a life-enriching atmosphere, people of similar backgrounds and interests, and a staff who make a difference in their lives. Staff, known as associates, is recruited for their skills and service-orientation, receiving training in customer service. Each Fountains community consists of “neighborhoods” that are defined not only by their physical environment, but also by their scope of services and amenities. While “Town Center” is for those looking to maintain or enhance their independent lifestyle, “The Inn” is for those who need a little help from their friends, or some assisted living. “The Gardens” is for those with some memory impairment and “The Springs” is for those needing Medicare-certified skilled nursing care.

Pacific Regent is the only Fountains member located in Washington and contains two neighborhoods: “Town Center,” which consists of a variety of spacious one- and two-bedroom condominium units of varying sizes with a state-of-the-art resident call system in each apartment, and “The Springs,” which provides Medicare-certified skilled nursing care, including rehabilitation, a variety of therapies and long-term care. A comprehensive range of medical, social and personal services meet the needs of the whole person – body, mind and spirit.

At Pacific Regent the residents’ homes are their domain. With the many modern conveniences and cultural opportunities within a few blocks, the residents have plenty of choices to maintain active lives. The community embraces a wellness initiative comprised of the six dimensions of wellness: intellectual, social, vocational, emotional, spiritual, and physical. A variety of activities are offered, such as aerobics; pre-dinner music; book clubs; computer classes; watercoloring; history classes; as well as trips to the library; local stores, symphony, and museum; and the daily afternoon latte break for residents and associates alike.
